Mesa Spans Forty Years of Building Codes

Mesa is large and it built out over a long stretch, so two houses ten minutes apart can need completely different work. A 1970s house near the older core usually has attic insulation, just not much of it, and four decades of settling has left it thinner than the original spec. Newer construction to the east and south starts from a much better baseline.

Mesa also has a large concentration of manufactured and modular homes, and those are their own job. The under-floor belly wrap is usually torn or hanging by the time anyone looks, and the roof cavity is built nothing like a site-built house.
